Portland, OR Web Design
Keep your personality. Make the website easier to use.
Your Portland business does not need to trade its character for a generic corporate website. We help you explain your offer in a voice that feels like you, then build a clear path from interest to contact. The design should feel considered, but the customer should never need instructions to use it.
Panorama is based in Vancouver, BC, and I work with Portland businesses remotely through calls, email, and shared design previews. You work directly with me, a BCIT graduate and the person building your site.
Let the brand support the service, not hide it.
A memorable identity can help an independent business stand out, but visitors still need practical answers. We would make your main services, location or coverage, and contact options easy to find before layering in design details. If your Portland business serves a particular neighbourhood or travels farther for selected jobs, that information should be clear. Personality and clarity work well together when the content has a sensible order.
For example: a creative business with a practical enquiry process.
For a small design or craft studio, we could show a focused collection of your own work and explain which commissions or services you accept. The first enquiry can ask about the intended project and timing without requiring a complete creative brief. Visitors get a feel for the business while also understanding what you need to begin a useful conversation.
What we would focus on first
- Use a genuine voice while keeping important service details specific and easy to scan.
- Make galleries and visual content fast to load, with useful text rather than image-only explanations.
- Give customers a clear way to describe a project and understand the next step after enquiring.
Portland web design and SEO built around real customers.
Our custom web design service for Portland businesses combines fast, mobile-friendly pages with clear service information, real project photos, and an easy way to enquire. We optimize images and code, write descriptive page titles, and organize headings and internal links so visitors and search engines can understand your business.
A practical Portland SEO strategy starts with the services customers actually need and the questions they ask before choosing a business. Our SEO services can add search research, useful content, technical improvements, and Google Business Profile guidance. For eligible businesses, accurate hours, services, photos, and genuine reviews help customers decide who to contact. We never invent addresses or promise a particular Google position.
More visitors are useful only if they are a good fit. We can plan measurement around completed enquiries and meaningful calls, then improve the pages bringing those prospects in. If you want to test paid traffic too, Google Ads and Facebook Ads are separate services we can discuss. Your budget should have a job, not just a pretty report.
Website plans for Portland small businesses.
Our monthly website plan is $150 per month and includes design, development, hosting, unlimited edits, and ongoing support. There is a 12-month minimum, followed by month-to-month service. The subscription website is not transferred to you if you cancel.
Prefer to buy your website outright? The lump-sum option is $3,200, plus $25 per month for hosting. Both standard website plans cover up to five pages; additional pages are $100 each. Ongoing SEO campaigns and ad management are quoted separately. We confirm currency, scope, and any extras in your proposal. See our full pricing and inclusions before choosing a plan.
Questions from Portland business owners
Can the site feel distinctive without lots of animation?
Absolutely. Typography, colour, photography, layout, and good writing can carry a strong identity without making the site slow or difficult to use. We would use movement only where it adds something useful and respect reduced-motion preferences. A memorable website should still let someone find the contact details in a hurry.
Can you improve my existing Portland website?
We can review what you have and explain whether targeted improvements or a rebuild make more sense. If we replace it, we plan redirects for changed URLs and preserve useful content. A fresh design should not throw away the work your old site has already done.
How do we get started?
Send your website address, the services you want more enquiries for, and the area you actually serve. We will discuss priorities, agree on the scope, and show you the design before development. You approve the content before launch. There are more details in our website and SEO FAQs.
